Since the project launched three years ago, MontAzure has initiated and supported a number of green initiatives and activities in the Kamala beach area. The Phuket team participates in monthly beach cleaning events organised by Kamala Green Club and contributes funds and ideas to the clubs annual program of environmental campaigns.
In partnership with a number of suppliers, including Sangfah Construction & Engineering, Naxan Lifestyle Products, Resysta Wood and Trim & Sander interiors, MontAzure led a project to design, build and install rubbish bins along the Kamala beachfront. Kamala Green Club is presenting the idea to the island authorities as a pilot project for island-wide installation of beach bins supported by scheduled rubbish collection.
MontAzure has become a major supporter of environmental and community activities on Phuket, particularly in and around the project’s mountain to oceanside site in Kamala and its environs.
As members of the Kamala Green Club, MontAzure is delighted to marshall its considerable resources, human and otherwise, in a much-needed and very worthwhile effort to keep Kamala Beach pristine and free of unsightly garbage and sources of environmental pollution. The Monthly Big Beach Clean Up is an opportunity for involved team members and residents of the area to join together and give the beach a monthly spruce up. MontAzure is also aiding efforts on a daily basis through membership of the Kamala Green Club, which sponsors full time daily beach cleaners.

While developing one of Phuket’s most significant master-planned communities, the team and investors at MontAzure are keen to integrate with the wider community in Kamala. Earlier this year, Executive Director Setthaphol Boottho launched an initiative to reward local students for their academic prowess with scholarships, while also encouraging them to love and care for their beautiful but fragile home.
MontAzure supports a regular beach cleaning programme which also involves local students and is a member of Kamala Green Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the island environment. MontAzure also helps fund the salaries of foreign English teachers so that local schools in Kamala have an English language programme and children gain the skills needed to work in the tourism industry which supports the Phuket economy.
As part of an ongoing outreach programme initiated in February, a team from MontAzure recently donated school supplies and toys to kindergarten pupils during a visit to Kamala School.
